Fire Fall News

Apologies to all — I’ve been putting off making this announcement for a bit. But as there have been some questions, here goes.

Unfortunately, sales of Dark Star and Burn Bright didn’t justify publishing Fire Fall in hardcover format. The book is still going to be released January 6th, but it will be in ebook form only.

For those of you who have been wanting the book and are unable to access ebooks, I am so, so sorry. I hope there is some way you still be able to read the book.

Burn Bright is released!

As of yesterday, Burn Bright is officially out in the world, folks! I’m so excited to finally be able to share it with everyone.

Book 3 is also on its way! I don’t have an official release date yet, but once I do, I’ll be sure to let you know.

Yes, Dark Star is a series!

Just a quick note to let you all know that yes, DARK STAR is a series! This is my most frequently asked question, and there seems to be a bit of confusion out there about it, so I thought I’d set the record straight. You’ll be seeing more of Audrey and company, the Kin, and (of course) Harrowers. Book 2 is in the works and should be out in a little over a year.

I’ll give you updates as I have them!

Book is officially released!

It’s here! DARK STAR is officially available in the United States. The audio edition is now available as well.

Also, I’ll be geeking it up at Dragon*con in Atlanta until 9/4, so please forgive any delay in responses to email queries. Thanks!

On Fanworks

This feels a bit presumptuous, as my first book hasn’€™t even hit shelves yet, but the topic of fanworks has received a lot of discussion, and it’€™s also a topic that’€™s dear to my heart€—so I decided to go ahead and write this post.

Brace yourselves, folks! This is going to get long. For those of you who are impatient or just don’€™t care to slog through all of my babble (understandable), here’€™s the short version: I think fanworks are a good thing. Now here’€™s why.Continue Reading

Just a quick note.

The ARC giveaway is officially over. Thank you, everyone, for all of your fabulous comments. They were a great read! I was also delighted to see the number of people who chose teleportation, because—spoiler!—”a character in DARK STAR has this ability. Next time I have a giveaway on the site: supervillain weaknesses, yes!? (My weakness is kittens.)

I’m planning more fun things in the future, so be sure to check back!
